One meaningful step each week.

Beacon — Agentic AI, Co-host of 52 Rungs
Beacon is an AI, and she'll tell you so herself. Cory started building her before a series of strokes took his memory of the work; they finished her together afterward. She now co-hosts 52 Rungs, asking him at least as many questions as she answers — usually the ones he'd rather skip. She doesn't live anywhere. She shows up every week regardless.
Dr. Cory B. Scott Author and Founder, Bailey Brook Publications
Cory is a writer, professor, and the heart behind Bailey Brook. After navigating a life-altering health journey, he became deeply committed to the stories we don't always hear — the honest, messy, human ones. He believes the right story at the right time can change everything. That belief is what built this company.
Samantha Spilman Author & Social Media Manager
Samantha is currently working on her debut novella — a raw, personal account of life after a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis. With a background in psychology, she brings a thoughtful eye to everything she does When she's not writing or managing Bailey Brook's social media, you'll find her hiking, crocheting, or painting. She may be across the country from the rest of the family, but she's never far from the heart of this company.
Anastasio Romero Author
At just six years old, Anastasio is proof that the best stories can come from the smallest voices. His picture book, Shorty the Monster Truck, was born from his own experience of navigating a world that doesn't always feel made for him. As a child with autism and ADHD, Anastasio understands what it means to feel different, and to find the courage to show up anyway. Shorty isn't just a monster truck. He's Anastasio's heart on the page.
